Associated Risks was founded in 2009 by a former member of the United Kingdom Special Forces with a clear mission: to deliver high-integrity security services, risk management, and operational support in complex and high-risk environments. From its origins in Asia, Associated Risks has developed into a global security company supporting corporate clients, international organisations, event organisers, and high-net-worth individuals across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America.

Our operating model combines direct local capability through our own locally incorporated sister companies with a carefully managed network of long-term, thoroughly vetted local security partners. Where we operate through a sister company, that entity provides the local corporate and operational infrastructure required to deliver services within the applicable regulatory framework. Where a trusted local partner is required, Associated Risks conducts detailed corporate, ownership, licensing, management, personnel, operational, and background due diligence before engagement. We do not simply refer clients to unknown third-party security providers.

Our international capabilities include executive protection, close protection, bodyguard services, secure transportation, security drivers, journey management, advance and reconnaissance operations, crisis response, hostile-environment support, operational risk management, threat mitigation, and project-based security solutions. Services are structured around the specific threat environment, regulatory requirements, geography, and risk profile of each assignment.

Associated Risks maintains established operational capabilities across Southeast Asia, including Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore; throughout the Middle East, including Turkey, Iraq, Lebanon, and Syria; across Africa, including Nigeria, Algeria, Libya, Somalia, Mozambique, Mali, Niger, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC); and in Latin America, including Mexico and Venezuela. We also support clients and operations in Europe, including Ukraine, using our own local structures where established and thoroughly vetted partners where appropriate.

Associated Risks also provides maritime and coastal security services across selected regions, including port security coordination, yacht security, vessel protection, offshore transit support, and asset safeguarding. These capabilities can be integrated with land-based protection, secure transportation, risk assessments, intelligence reporting, threat monitoring, business continuity planning, and operational resilience.

Our approach combines international management and oversight with genuine local capability. We recognise that effective security requires more than simply deploying personnel; each operation must account for local law, licensing, culture, geography, threat dynamics, and operational conditions.
